Under 18s Phillip Island 16.8-104 def Fish Creek 4.9-33

The Under 18 boys travelled down to Fish Creek this week and were met with the news that the opposition had only 12 players. They rang early in the week to say they may be short a few so coach Dallinger asked a few of his players if they would like to help out and to their credit they happily obliged. This meant that at each quarter break six of our players had to swap jumpers and become Fish creek players for the quarter. It made for confusing viewing and organising but at the end of the game all players had a great hit out.  It’s a problem that the Island doesn’t have and good on the boys to take it on seriously and gain some valuable match practice. The game was a good opportunity for Dallo to try his players in different positions which resulted in 13 goal scorers. The final score was a comfortable win to the Island with top games by youngsters, Neil Pluck and Matty Jones. Also Dylan Holland, Darcy Garton, Ben Tester, Jarman Dwyer and Darcy Johnston all top games for us and the opposition!!
