Under 15s - Phillip Island vs Fish Creek

After a disappointing game against Killy-Bass last week the U 15s were keen to make amends at Fish Creek. Captain Tim Van Cuylenburg led from the front and they were switched on from the first bounce. Eli Richards was on fire, kicking the first goal of the game and having possessions all round the ground. Captain Tim kicked two goals himself, and also gathering many possessions. Brodie Johnston and Callum Porter goaled to give the Island a 5 goal to 0 advantage at quarter time.

Phillip Island kept the pressure on in the second quarter. The back line was solid, with new full back Walter Hiatt showing the way. Meanwhile Brodie and Tim added to their goal tally, and Alex Officer joined them with his first goal.

The Island really hit their straps in the third term, with six goals to none. Tim and Eli another one and Alex another two. Justin Cleeland and the mercurial Choy Lee also joined the goal kickers.

The intensity dropped off in the last quarter and Fish Creek took advantage, kicking 4 goals to 2. Choy Lee kicked his second and Arie Cook scored a goal in a runaway victory for the Island.
