The first quarter was tight, with both teams testing out the opposition. Phillip Island had a number of shots on goal, but could only manage 1 goal 5 behinds. Inverloch registered one goal, to give the Island a slender lead at quarter time. Charlie Plant was the goal scorer for the Island.

PhillipIslandgot on top in the second quarter with 8 shots on goal, but were still plagued by wayward kicking, registering just two majors to Cieren Wood and Brodie Johnston. Arie Cook and Eli Rickards were giving plenty of drive around the ground, and Mickey Manteit was controlling his wing.

The third quarter was pretty even, with Phillip Island scoring 3 goals to I – K’s 2. Eli scored one, and Jarrod Black in his first match back from injury scored 2. The Island had a handy 23 point lead heading into the final quarter.

The Island finished off well in the last term with Jarrod Black adding two more goals to his tally and Tim Van Cuylenburg and Alex Officer joining the goal kickers list. Phillip Island ended up winning by 34 points, in a good team performance.
