After the long road trip Phillip Island settled well and took the early lead against Yarram. Eli Richards scored the first goal of the game, followed by Mickey Manteit and Jye Kartinyeri to set up a handy first term lead over Yarram who could manage just 1 goal.

Yarram cranked up the pressure in the second term and matched the Island on the score board with two goals apiece. Brodie Johnston goaled from a strong mark and Sam Horvath put through a great snap. The Island had a handy 15 point lead at half time.

Phillip Island answered the challenge in the third term, putting the match out of Yarram’s reach. Goals to Alex Officer, Justin Cleeland and Jarrod Black and a second for Mickey Manteit shut the gate for Yarram, who didn’t score for the quarter.
