2011 - Season Update
Club Update – 16 March 2011
Welcome to your club for the 2011 season.
We hope that you are able to join us throughout the season. Come and support the exciting Bulldog teams as they battle it out on the ground. Why not make a day of it and then later enjoy a drink and a meal in the club rooms. The kitchen this year is managed by Tania Braun who will be serving meals on Saturday nights, as well as on Thursdays and Fridays.

Training: Seniors - Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm
U18s - Tuesday and Thursday at 5pm
U15s - Monday and Wednesday at 5pm
U13 & U11s - Wednesday at 4:30pm
Main Committee: The club has two new Committee persons in Terry Carman and Steven Porter. We still have a need for more committee members so if you are interested please contact the President (0418 353 542).
Memberships: The 2011 Club Membership Offers are open. Application forms are available on the Website.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
- · Saturday 26 March - Practice Games
This year we are only having one official practice match. It will be at Lang Lang Football Ground (120 Westernport Rd) on Saturday 26 March and will feature the U15s, U18s, Reserves & Seniors in action. After the match come and join us for our first club function of the year back at the club rooms.
- · Saturday 26 March - Live Band – The Electric Ants
After the Lang Lang practice match on Saturday 26 March we are holding our first club function of the year back at the club rooms. There will be a live band and a Happy Hour between 8 and 9pm with $2 pots and Ladies Drinks on offer. A $5 cover charge applies.
The Electric Ants - Formed in 2010 by local Island lads, Electric Ants delivers an infectious mix of high energy, and great fun covers music. With an eclectic mix of solid gold rock standards, punk, surf punk, dance and some modern classics Electric Ants promise to have you on the dance floor all night. The songs come from many sources including The Living End, The Police, The Cure, The Black Crows, The Jam, The Ataris.
Here is chance for club supporters and the broader community to have a great night supporting a new local band, some reasonably prices drinks and get the footy club off to a good start.
- · Thursday 24 March -Jumper Presentation night
Jumper presentation for the U18s and Seniors will be on Thursday 24 March after training.

- · Saturday 2 April - The First Game!!
The season starts on Saturday 2 April with the loooong journey to Devon. We then have two more games (Inverloch - Kongwak and Stony Creek) before the BIG GAME in Round 4 at home against arch rivals Bass on Easter Saturday, 23 April. Don’t miss it.
- · May 21st – 23rd - Premiership Reunions
Among the social events for the year there will be a 30 YEAR reunion of the 1981 Seniors & Reserves premiers and a 60 YEAR reunion of the 1951 Seniors premiers. This will be held over 20, 21 and 22 of May. Members are invited to join in these reunions and more information will be released in the coming weeks via email & on our website.
